OUR MISSION 

The mission of Jefferson County Long Term Recovery Group is to assist individuals and families with long-term recovery needs following a disaster. We first identify unmet needs, then work to obtain the resources necessary to meet those needs. We stretch our funding as far as possible by vetting households carefully to avoid duplication of services. Next, we work with individual volunteers and trusted volunteer groups from across the state and country. These groups provide invaluable hours of donated repair/rebuild labor and critical spiritual/emotional support to every individual and household they serve.

Disaster impacted households depend on leadership and guidance in navigating the recovery process. We are committed to this effort long term. We are strengthened through collaborative partnerships with our county, city and jurisdictional partners and officials, our Southeast Texas VOAD, and volunteer and faith-based organizations throughout our state and beyond, allowing us to meet this important commitment.
